BECOMING A MEMBER

We would be very pleased to have you become part of our family of faith here at Living Christ Lutheran Church. We also understand that this is an important and personal decision for you to make and encourage you to pray and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

You can become a member by one of the following ways:
Ø A letter of transfer from another Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation.

Ø A statement of Christian faith following pastoral instruction or consultation.

Ø Christian baptism for those who have not had this opportunity.

Ø Confirmation—for adults after attending instruction class and for youth after attending catechism classes.

Instruction classes are offered for new members and those considering church membership periodically throughout the year or on a personal basis. These classes (6-8 weeks) provide an overview of basic Christian doctrine as understood by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and foster appreciation of the role of faith in daily life.

Once you become a member, you will have opportunities to participate in the life of the church through additional Bible studies, worship, fellowship, and other ministry functions as you serve the Lord.

For more information on classes, please contact the church office at (317) 839-4800 and ask to speak or arrange for a visit with the Pastor.
